Come To Our First Fund Raising Event!

We are proud to announce our very first fundraising event! On November 16th from 5pm-9pm, at The Cultural Center, 7130 S. South Chicago Avenue, Chicago 60619, the NYEF will team up with Computers Built By Children (CBBC, formerly the Youth Technical Network Exchange) to host an evening of food, drink, music, auction, raffle and special awards. You are invited to enjoy this unique event to help make the world a better place!

Since 1996, the NYEF has focused on the needs in Latin America. However, with this fundraising event, we turn a new page and start serving the needs of less advantaged Chicago neighborhoods as well.

We specifically want to support CBBC, an exciting new organization on Chicago’s south side that will get at-risk young people off the streets, away from drugs and gangs, and teach them how to use, repair and create computers. The NYEF will supply computers and will share with it the proceeds of this event to create a computer workshop. The NYEF will use its share to support its scholarship program and to ship computers to Latin America. None of the proceeds will be used for salaries or operating expenses since both staffs work on a strictly voluntary basis, out of our own pocket books!
